York Student Ambassador Program
Junior School Ambassador Program
Student Ambassadors are leaders who promote the climate and culture of The York School and build meaningful relationships with new and prospective students. Our Grade 5 and 6 Student Ambassadors may be called upon to be greeters, and speakers at admission events, help guide visiting students during Activity Days, or act as tour guides.
Middle and Senior School Ambassador Program
In the spring of each academic year, York School students apply to be Student Ambassadors for the upcoming school year. Student Ambassadors are leaders who promote the climate and culture of The York School and build meaningful relationships with new and prospective students. Student Ambassadors may be called upon as hosts at admission events, tour guides, event speakers, Grade Partners to new students, or greeters at school events.
Ambassador Buddies Program
In the Middle and Senior School, all new incoming students are connected with a Student Ambassador Buddy who will be in the same grade in September. Student Ambassador Buddies reach out to the new students through their parents via email in May or June and are encouraged to connect over the spring and summer - to introduce themselves, answer questions, and share their experience about student life. Ambassador Buddies are there to support new students’ transition and integration into The York School community. This relationship is nurtured into the fall so that new students continue to feel welcome, connected, and supported. If your child’s Ambassador Buddy has not been in contact by June 1, please reach out to Jennifer Robertson, Manager, Admissions & Enrolment Management at jrobertson@yorkschool.com.
